Heather Baskiville-Robinson

I was born in Maruawai, Gore. I live in Christchurch.

My artwork swings between two facets of my life and has done for many years. My sharing and working life has included teaching, counselling, art therapy and private tutoring.

My Studio work has been a place to define who I am and that is always evolving.

My creative output is deeply influenced by the constant flow and rhythm of nature. This often defines my inward inspiration and motivation to create. It evolves while continually extending my knowledge and thoughts and processes of working with fibres and threads and revamped objects.

As a printmaker, paper maker, harakeke weaver and multi media artist this involves ongoing experimentation.

I acknowledge and respect those who have shared their creative knowledge with me and for the sense of the spirit of human existence from my Scottish and Irish Ancestors.
