My work is genuine handmade, and each piece is blessed by myself on completion.

I make contemporary Māori bone carvings from the Gold Coast, Australia.

I was born in wellington to a Māori father and a Kiwi mother and moved to the Gold Coast in my early teenage years. My father passed on his carving tools and some secrets of the trade in the early 2000s.

Through a lot of self-learning and practice, in Dec 2022 I released my art to the world through different platforms online, and have since managed to secure a spot for my art to be displayed & sold in REI Māori, a Māori inspired art gallery in Lyttelton, Christchurch NZ.

I have been working closely with the awesome people at REI to further my skill set.

I am only new to the online art scene, but you can check out my latest works of toi (Māori art) here under Holder_toi on Facebook & Instagram. .
